The Usecureit website is an essential part of contractor management at Buchanan Galleries as it enables us to manage contractors on site more efficiently and effectively. We used to operate a seven day notice period for contractors to request access; we can now complete this process in hours.

As a paperless system we have generated savings for having to purchase paper based systems while dramatically reduced our filling space.

Documents and permits are uploaded or completed on the website before any visit is made to the centre, the contractor receives confirmation they are approved to work within the shopping centre in advance, so the engineer is no longer required to fill out paperwork on arrival; which can be time consuming. 

The layout and design of the site is both user friendly to the contractor and the administrator, it is extremely easy to use enabling access requests to be found at the touch of a button. 

I would not be without this capability as it manages and records all access requests in real time allowing me to prevent access to those not on the system or those who intend to conduct work in an area which they cannot; the list is endless.

Since going live with the Permit to Work database it has allowed the FM Team to have greater control over contractors attending site, logging times of arrival and departure.  The system also ensures we have a relevant and agreed risk assessment on the system for all works taking place.
